Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a author, performer and actress in the US for the past forty years. Her most well-known role is for her character Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV show Gilligan's Island). Her Two's Company musical was the first stage production in which she appeared during her stage debut. In 1956, she had her breakthrough in the stage on Broadway with Li'l Abner. The same year, she debuted her debut music album called This is Tina Time. Louise was first introduced to Hollywood as Griselda Walden, in God's Little Acre, a drama from 1957. This film became a big hit and Louise even won the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. At the time, she joined the Actors Studio in New York and developed her association with Lee Strasberg as his student. Her next role that she portrayed as Ginger Grant, which CBS was the first to sign her on for in 1964. Louise Balfour was able to juggle between Broadway as well as Hollywood portraying somber character as contrast to her image of an attractive doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The series starred her as SG-1's Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. However, in recent years she also became a well-known director for popular TV programs like Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex on August 28th 1965. She and her family moved to Toronto when she was three where she subsequently spent in the adolescent years and childhood. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver and Canada, following her decision to play the lead.
