Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American model, author, designer and animal rights activist. Her name is well-known for movies such as Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) and The Getaway (1972). Born and raised in a family of artists living in New York she wished to be a part of the art. She started as a photographic assistant and then moved on to modeling and acting. MacGraw was awarded her Golden Globe Award, for the most promising debutant. The MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was a huge hit that brought her fame worldwide and also as an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. The film was recognized as the most successful female box-office star of the globe after just three films. In 1972 her hand-footprints as well as her signature were inscribed at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Her other credits comprise The Getaway Convoy Players, television miniseries The Winds of War and many more. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, was released. MacGraw was married three times.
