Coleman was born in the Lancashire town of Blackpool. She graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she scored straight A's for her A-levels. She regrets that she didn't receive a standard university education when discussing her experience at Emmerdale. While at school Coleman was part of a theatre company called In Yer Space with whom she played at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. She won an award for her performance and the show was highly praised. Coleman won the Emmerdale role Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with the drama school. In 2007 Coleman was awarded two awards. In 2007, the British Soap Awards nominated her as the best newcomer. At the National Television Awards, she was also nominated most popular newcomer. In 2009, the British Soap Awards 2009 nominated Coleman in category of Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine and Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman was awarded the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who revealed in a news event on 21st March 2012 that Coleman would be replacing Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat chose her for the role due to her being the most successful with Smith and was able to speak faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She is active in the industry since 1987 and has been part of numerous films and TV projects. Her work has been much more prominent on TV than films. Eva was in a number of roles on television, but two stand out in particular: the Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as the character of Detective Natalia Boavistas which was in CSI Miami. The latter even garnered her two nominations for the Daytime Emmy Awards and allowed her to explore her creativity in music. Eva is also a philanthropist, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Her third husband is the father of her daughter.
